The Biggest Ever Ullswater Outdoor Festival 2010

Now in its 5th year The Ullswater Outdoor Festival runs from 25th September to 3rd October and offers guided walks and activities on land and water, great speakers and the opportunity to trial outdoor clothing from Sprayway. Most activities are FREE and explore the breathtaking surroundings of The Ullswater Valley. You will find the organizers “Yurt” beside the Tourist Information Centre, Glenridding in the foothills of Hellvellyn, Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. Radio 2’s Stuart Maconie headlines this year’s bill of evening entertainment; which also features the acclaimed Ian Tyler of Keswick Mining Museum, Robert Farrah author of Stone Circles of Cumbria, Jane Yates adventurer and mum with humorous and philosophical recollections of her escapades with mountaineering husband Simon Yates. This year’s events include FREE guided walks with National Park Rangers, Wild Swimming, Rock Climbing, Canoeing and Kayaking, Navigation, Map reading workshops, Archery and more…  Supporting the Festival Ullswater Steamers will only charge £1 per trip for any Festival Event.
