Patterdale Hall Estate
Between the lake and the fells…
Patterdale Hall Estate is a 300-acre private estate wrapped around the southern tip of Ullswater. Our six Cedar Chalets, three Pine Lodges and two Stone-built Bothies all have magnificent views and are located on a secluded site with spacious lawns surrounded by trees. You’ll have full access to the private estate grounds, with 100 acres of ancient woodland to explore along with spectacular crags, a fantastic Victorian Waterfall Wood walk, a lovely little tarn, and a picnic area with fantastic views of the lake and fells. We have a den building area and 5-a-side pitch to keep the kids happy, and our private foreshore for boating or fishing will please the adults too!
A multitude of the finest Lakeland walks lie on our doorstep- Helvellyn, St. Sunday Crag, Dollywagon Pike and Place Fell to name but a few – and the area offers the most dramatic Lake District scenery imaginable. The villages of Glenridding and Patterdale are only a ten minute walk away and in each you will find local shops, pubs and restaurants providing plenty of options to eat and shop.
These idyllic surroundings are the perfect place to enjoy water activities, walk the fells, tour the Lakes, or just indulge yourself and relax away from the stresses of modern life. Ideal for individuals, couples, families and large groups alike, 9 out of 10 visitors come back for repeat stays, which speaks volumes about what we offer! The Estate is an amazing place to stay whatever the time of year, and our prices are very affordable whatever your budget.
We also have a cosy little riverside Caravan Club CL Site on the estate if you have your own motorhome or caravan!
