Beckside… Exclusive accommodation in the heart of the Lake District
Set against the tranquil eastern shore of Ullswater, Beckside is a traditional working hill farm with over two hundred acres of fields and woods and one mile of lake shore.
You can enjoy the beauty, tranquillity and wildlife of this region by staying in the stunningly situated lakeside cabins, or in one of two comfortable double rooms to be found in the Lowther Barn tea room.
The Lowther Tea Room
Situated on the fell walkway between Sandwick and Patterdale, the tea room affords a welcome rest and refreshment stop for walkers journeying from the ferry terminal at Glenridding or Howtown.
Open from 11.00am to 4.00pm daily from Easter to the 9th November, with reduced opening for weekends and school holidays thereafter till the new season 2016. The tea room is a delightful place to rest your weary legs, enjoy the views and some delicious food.
